Mark Valley graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1987 with a degree in mathematics and operations research, then served as a Combat Engineer Officer with the 8th Infantry Division and later the Berlin Brigade, assigned to 3rd Army Support Command (SUPCOM) in the Persian Gulf for Operation Desert Storm.
After leaving the Army, he built a twenty-five-year acting career in film and television. Film credits include The Siege, Zero Dark Thirty, and the upcoming Hit Piece; television credits include Keen Eddie, Human Target, Boston Legal, Fringe, Body of Proof, and Days of Our Lives. He wrote and directed the award-winning web series Zburg, soon to be on Tubi. He holds an MFA in creative writing and is a licensed FAA Part 107 drone operator.
He now produces the intelligence podcast The Live Drop and is completing an MS in Artificial Intelligence at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
