Mark Valley the Actor
Mark gained an early international following as a regular on NBC's Days of Our Lives playing the popular character Jack Deveraux. With 25 years as a steadily working actor, he's held lead or series regular roles for five television series with appearances on networks and streamers like FOX (Keen Eddie, Fringe, Human Target), CBS (Boston Legal), ABC (Harry's Law), CBS (Blood and Treasure) and Netflix' (Bloodline). His Films include: The Siege, Shrek, Batman Dark Knight, Stolen, Gunshy, Zero Dark Thirty, and most recently, Rebel Wilson's forthcoming Bridehard, directed by Simon West. Mark Valley the Writer
Mark began his writing journey with a one-man theater show titled Walls, Wars, and Whiskey, which delved into his experiences in the US military. He later self-published an early chapbook of first-person short stories called Along the Border. Mark has also written television pilots that have been optioned, including Stasi Files, which inspired him to create The Live Drop, a highly regarded podcast about intelligence and espionage. As a writer/director, Mark contributed to Funny or Die's The Millionaires before creating his own acclaimed web series inspired by his hometown in upstate New York. After earning an MFA in Writing from Antioch University Los Angeles, he began his first novel, Northburg, featuring the irascible police detective, Larry Duvall. Mark is now at work on the next book in this series.

Biography
Mark Valley was born in Ogdensburg, New York on the Canadian border. With roots in the region generations back, he's a distant relative of crooner Rudy Vallee. Mark gained acceptance to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and served in the Persian Gulf War with most of his active duty in Berlin, Germany where he transitioned from the military into the performing arts. After theater training in New York, he began a respected acting career known for his ability to craft memorable characters and source humor from the most dramatic of roles. He's a sought-after performer though now committed to veteran causes, walking his dog Metro and writing novels in Northern NY.
