The American Veterans Center Awards Show Broadcast Nov. 15

Mark Valley will be one of the individuals speaking at the American Veterans Center Honors, which takes place over Veterans Day weekend in Washington, D.C.  Those recognized will be heroes of World War II, Korea, and Vietnam along with those who have served on the front lines today. Gary Sinise, Joe Mantegna, Lorraine Bracco, Mark Valley, Taylor Kitsch, and Pat Sajak are among the Hollywood stars to share the stories of heroes from the last 75 years of American military history. Mark’s Comedy Show August 1 Benefits Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary

About the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Transport DAV operates a fleet of vehicles around the country to provide free transportation to VA medical facilities for injured and ill veterans. Mark to Visit Antique Boat Show August 1

By Katherine Clark of the Watertown Daily Tims CLAYTON – The Antique Boat Museum will be visited by Hollywood actor and north country native Mark Valley at the upcoming 50th annual Antique Boat Show and Auction on Friday, Aug. 1 from 2 to 4 p.m. Mr. Valley will attend the event and be available for photos with guests and signing autographs in exchange for donations to the River Hospital’s River Community Wellness Program. “When he’s here on campus, we’ll have him signing autographs and taking photos with visitors,” said Michael J. Folsom, ABM Director of Marketing and Communications said. “We’ll be asking for a donation for the photos and autographs that will go to raise money for the River Hospital’s post traumatic stress disorder treatment center, a cause he’s very invested in.” According to Mark, “… most importantly, the Antique Boat Show has formed a partnership to exhibit the work of River Hospital PTSD patients.” Mark is active with several veteran advocacy groups including Volunteers of America, GI Film Festival, VFT Advisory Board, and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild Armed Forces Committee.
